Help Moving a Hot Tub

Help Moving a Hot Tub

Postby MidnightBurn » Thu Jul 29, 2010 4:45 pm

Hi guys,

A friend of ours is giving us a brand new hot tub to help me with my pain. But obviously, I can't move it. I am in need of a crew of guys with a Jeep trailer to help move it from Boise to Kuna and then carry it to the back yard through the garage.

I know I am asking a lot, but I sure would be thankful.

Thanks,

Kevin

Where in Boise and when and what time. I have my son and I to be on stand by when you have that part. Sunday might be a good day. Have use of a huge flatbed but my toyota is not big enough to haul it. Matter of fact the flat bed is right next door in East Boise. Just need a truck. JOHN

Thanks gents. Scott, I will call him. It doesn't get any better than a spa trailer. I appreciate everything. I will still need man power so I will set it up and borrow whoever I can after I know when.

I confirmed with Gary that he can use his spa trailer and dolly made just for this purpose. If you guys can help us this coming Saturday morning at 10:00 am to pick it up, that would be great.

ADDRESS: 8723 Wichita Drive Boise, Idaho.
MAP LINK: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=872 ... 83709&z=16

Let me know who can make it. I doubt it will take more than 2 hours.

Jarrod, Travis, and Jason have already volunteered. Both Gary and I have bad backs so one or two more would be great if possible.

Thanks!

Guys,

I am going to have to reschedule this. I am down and out again with massive hip pain and migranes. I just don't know when I will be able to do this. I feel so bad that I have to cancel another thing, but I just never know when the cycle will start again.

I will post up when I feel better and see if we can coordinate a team. I really think this hot tub will be good therapy at times. Again, I am sorry. I know you guys are getting tired of me committing and then cancelling.

If limiting this to a weekend is difficult, I can help at almost any time.

I have two trailers... either one of which should do fine... that I can tow behind the Jeep.

Co-ordinate the delivery, any time durring the week, 8am - 4pm... and even afterwards on occation. We would need an extra body or two, but we could get'er done.

Thanks David.

I really want to go pick this thing up. But last week Whitney and I were in the kitchen and I got up from the table and my right leg was completely dead. So I fell really hard. Since then every time I stand up, within 30 seconds, I get MASSIVE pain in my right hip and leg. If I try to fight through it, my leg gets weaker and weaker until I can't hold myself up. It's like it's slowly getting paralyzed. Scares me.

So I went to my doctor and he is very concerned that my spinal hardware (screws and rods) may have shifted or be damaged. Or I have another damaged disc. Not sure. He ordered a CT Mylegram. They inject dye into my spinal cavity so they can take 3D images of it. I can't get an MRI because all the metal hardware just shows up as a black blob.

At this point, I am completely unable to deal with operation hot tub.

Is this something you can coordinate over the phone and say, have a few kind people pick it up and deliver it to you without your direct intervention ?

Guys,

That would be a wonderful thing. I know this hot tub will help. I am in really bad shape. I have to say that Jarrod and Travis have been coming over for months to help out. My knowledge and experience with building Jeeps helps them and their friendship and willingness to take care of projects around the house has been a true blessing. Really cool guys.

If a few of you guys can coordinate the hot tub effort, I would appreciate it very much. I need just a few things moved out of the way here at the house and you can back the spa trailer right through the garage and into the back yard.

Call me anytime if you decide to go.

Thanks again!

Helping those that are in need is the greatest thing we can do for one another. Asking for help for many of us is the hardest thing. Remember that we help each other daily. Our jobs, our friends, our families. What you ask isn't much, I feel you see it as a selfish thing.. IT IS NOT ! if it helps you in some way, if it helps you feel better it in turn helps everyone who cares about you feel better. These are things we do for those that matter.
